Warren McWhirter is a Rule 31 listed mediator in general civil litigation and in his 30 plus years of trial practice, he has tried cases for the plaintiff and the defense. He has tried jury cases to verdict in 7 different counties in west Tennessee and bench cases in two others. Mr. McWhirter has handled medical malpractice cases for the plaintiff and for the defense, nursing home cases for the plaintiff and defense, products liability litigation, premises liability litigation, construction defect litigation, and auto tort cases. His clients have ranged from international businesses to local citizens.
Warren attended the University of Tennessee where he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1989. He later attended the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1991 and was thereafter licensed to practice law in Tennessee during 1992. He is admitted to practice in State Court in Tennessee, and in Federal Court in the United States District Courts for the Western District of Tennessee, Eastern District of Arkansas and Southern District of California. From time to time, Warren also serves as a Special Judge in the General Sessions Court of Shelby County in Memphis. He is a member of the Memphis Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
